Developing emotional resilience: increase your ability to cope with life's daily challenges

Welcome to our online course, "Resilience, Mind and Rhythm".

After carefully assessing our students’ feedback and creating collaborations with different healthcare professional platforms, we decided to expand our scope of offering additionally to everyone, including healthcare centres and communities that may be at greater risk for developing long-term difficulties.

We are expanding our horizon to those who may be struggling with conditions such as anxiety, depression and have a prior history of trauma.

In the past weeks, we have seen a tremendous increase in situations that could potentially lead to a detrimental effect on our mental well-being such as the unexpected loss of a loved one, loss of jobs, and even loss of identity.

  • Identify strategies to develop resilience in yourself and fellow colleagues.
  • How to navigate your experience of emotions to improve well-being and your effectiveness in the workplace.
  • Explore your emotions during difficult situations and how your emotions impact your performance.
  • Learn mindfulness and breathwork techniques to help you build your resilience.

Requirements

  • Emotions are part of all of us! You will need an open mind and a willingness to learn.
  • Designed for individuals who are keen to understand how to manage their emotions and are committed to developing their ability to manage their emotional wellbeing.

Description

When we think about resilience, we think about how you cope and adapt to crises or stressful situations. By becoming more resilient, you will be able to better accept stressful and challenging situations.

In this course, we will explore emotion orientated coping mechanisms, to build up resilience.  You will learn simple methods with loads of practical hints that you can use straight away.

Our primary purpose, when RhythmiaBreath team created this online course, was to offer a platform where students can come back at any time to benefit from the tools we carefully put in place. We did so to "anchor" the basics on mental well-being to provide research-lead and easy-to-put-in-place solutions helping those directly affected by the pandemic.

Course Structure

The course is made up of a series of lectures, quizzes and a series of practical activities.  The practical activities included within the course are designed to help you develop your resilience and to manage stress.

These include:

  • How to calm your emotional response
  • Navigating your emotions
  • Developing mindfulness as a tool
  • Breathwork techniques

Our free course provides you with 12 months of access to our basic course to help you understand and develop the techniques to build resilience. By signing up to our paid subscription, you will have access to new content on a monthly basis to help support you as you face challenging situations and help you further develop the techniques to build emotional resilience.

PLEASE NOTE - The practical activities are fundamental to achieving emotional resilience. These techniques can only be learned through regular practice and can’t be developed just from listening to these audios once.

The course is being continually refined and updated to ensure it remains current and relevant.
